As director of public affairs and community engagement, Terry Lightfoot leads Alameda Health System’s overall communications department with various government entities, communities and key internal and external stakeholders. With more than 20 years in public affairs, Mr. Lightfoot brings significant knowledge in strategic integrated communications, government relations, community outreach and community benefit communications. Mr. Lightfoot has served as community outreach consultant and public participation leader on major transportation projects from Oakland to Los Angeles, California. Prior to his involvement in transportation consulting, Mr. Lightfoot worked for nearly 10 years at Kaiser Permanente in public affairs including media relations and government and community relations. Mr. Lightfoot holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
